Sprayed Insulation & Acoustical Finishes
International Cellulose Corporation (ICC) is the world’s leading developer and manufacturer of cellulose spray-applied thermal insulation and acoustical finishes. International Cellulose has developed such high performance cellulose products such as K-13, SonaSpray “fc”, SonaKrete, Ure-K, Protek-13, and Celbar. Our commitment to quality is reflected in our ISO 9001:2008 certification and the follow up inspection programs of Underwriter’s Laboratories (UL) and Factory Mutual Research Corporation (FM). ICC’s innovative product developments have led to a number of US and International patents. International Cellulose Corporation has the best noise solution products using cellulose insulation.
Sound Control - Acoustic Performance
The resilient fibers of ICC's cellulose insulation products absorb sounds rather than reflecting them. This reduces reverberation, making speech and music more intelligible. Noise is reduced and the ambient sound quality is greatly improved. This is perfect for a wide variety of building projects including auditoriums, sports facilities, classrooms, cathedrals, restaurants, parking garages, and convention centers. |
Thermal Performance
ICC's cellulose insulation products have excellent thermal performance by creating dead air spaces within its fibers. All products are sprayed in a monolithic coating, filling cracks, seams, and voids, reducing air infiltration. ICC's cellulose sprayed insulation can be applied to any properly prepared surface, including metal, wood, concrete, urethane, styrofoam and glass. |
Environmentally Friendly
ICC's cellulose sprayed insulation is made out of 80% post-consumer recycled paper. Cellulose takes less energy to make than any other insulation material. This is known as embodied energy and includes the total energy required to transport raw materials, manufacture and distribute the product. Fiberglass has up to 10 times more embodied energy than cellulose and foam products up to 64 times. Insulation, by reducing the amount of energy required to heat or cool a building, is environmentally friendly. All of ICC's sprayed insulation products contribute LEED Credits to projects. |
Thermal Barrier - Fire Resistance
ICC's spray applied Acoustical Insulation systems have a Class 1, Class A fire Rating.
During the manufacturing process the Cellulose fibers are treated with a naturally safe fire retardant
meeting the high standards of Underwriters Laboratories and Factory Mutual Research. |
